Magazine Advertising Placement Standards (in Japanese)This useful and practical guidebook presents regulations and noteworthy issues related to acceptance and publication of advertisements in magazines. The Standards were first published in 1971, and are revised every five or six years. The current edition was released in 2004.

It features Opinion on magazine advertising by advertisers and fascinating features contributed by JMAA executives and others in the industry only available through JMAA. Normal publications are 8 B5-size pages and distributed on the first day of each month except for the month of November. A special enlarged November issue is distributed on the first day of November of every year, 40 B5-sizeed pages, in full color, with the Japan Magazine Ad Award results.
Magazine Advertising Handbook: Kizuna (Ties)
Magazine Advertising (in Japanese)Our association took the 60th anniversary of its founding, celebrated on November 1, 2006, as a fitting occasion to publish Kizuna. In this handbook, the main themes related to magazine advertising have been clearly explained by a writing staff composed of people active in fields connected to the themes. A must-read for anybody involved in magazine advertising, Kizuna explains the conditions surrounding magazine advertising, provides hints for thinking about the direction to proceed in the future, and is useful for promotion as well. Printed on 144 pages of A5-sized paper, it is also a book that is handy and easy to read.
